Jurupa Valley, nestled in Riverside County, California, emerged as a city on July 1, 2011, incorporating various portions of unincorporated Riverside County. The city draws its name from the Jurupa land grant, bestowed by the Mexican government upon Juan Bandini in 1838. Located approximately 50 miles east of Los Angeles, Jurupa Valley spans 43.5 square miles, sharing its borders with Riverside to the south and Fontana to the north.

Home to a vibrant population of about 100,000 residents, Jurupa Valley boasts a diverse community, comprising both long-time residents and newcomers. The city encompasses distinct neighborhoods, including Mira Loma, Pedley, Rubidoux, Glen Avon, and Sunnyslope.
